How COPY keeps things private

Encrypted, no accounts, and deleted once it’s heard.

Messages are end-to-end encrypted, and COPY’s server can’t listen to them. There are no accounts. Messages are deleted once they’re played.

Encrypted before it leaves your phone

The key to each channel travels in the invite link, after the #, and COPY’s server never sees it.

No accounts

No email, no phone number, no password. Your phone creates your identity, and your recovery key is how you get it back.

What the server holds

Encrypted messages until they’re played or expire, plus what it needs to deliver them: your display name, the channels you’re in, and a token for notifications. Analytics are first-party, with no message content and no advertising IDs. The privacy policy has the full list.
